Art Battle Debenhams

The former Debenhams unit in Stockport town centre is to host a live art battle event on Friday 23rd of September. The event is ticketed and sold half of the ticket allocation in just 3 days. It is important to add it is a real privilege to have this event in Stockport as the Art Battle Manchester team have never held an event outside of the city. So, what is an Art Battle… Well, we will let the Art Battle Manchester team explain that one. 

“Art Battle Manchester XX – Upbeat On The High Street will feature ten new fearless artists taking centre stage. A capacity crowd will watch painters, illustrators, tattooists and street artists go head-to-head in what has been described as Manchester’s most energetic art event. With only 30 minutes to create a masterpiece – YOU will decide who is crowned Champion”

On arrival all visitors are given voting tokens – at the end of reach round the punters vote with their tokens to select winners. This really connects the audience with the action taking place in front of their very eyes. We have visited a Manchester event and can honestly say the atmosphere is incredible. Not only that, but what artists can create in their half an hour slot is unbelievable. 

All the art is auctioned off at the end of the event to raise money for a local charity. Along with the art performances there is pop up bars, street food traders, Djs, live graffiti and street art creators and other animations. This event is going to be a one off and will not happen again so our advice is to get it booked and join us there before it sells out!
