Berretto Lounge – Stockport’s Newest Eatery

Berretto Lounge – Stockport’s Newest Eatery

                                             Berretto Lounge

Only opening two weeks ago, the newest edition to the Stockport restaurant scene has proven popular amongst locals and visitors alike. Placed in the new Redrock complex, Berretto Lounge as the name suggests, is a casual restaurant/bar that embraces the relaxed concept of lounging whilst eating hearty, affordable, and simple food.

The space itself is incredible. The high ceilings are broken up by huge light fittings that sway timidly above.

The lounge aspect is created by adding casual seating areas with comfortable sofas and classic armchairs.

If you wish to sit in a more formal restaurant seat there are options for that too!

The use of rustic wooden tables contrasted with a selection of vibrant coloured stools, table legs and chairs create a fun environment for not only adults but children too.

Due to the casual nature of the restaurant it is overwhelmingly child friendly.

Upon entry you are greeted with a wide selection of children’s games, colouring tools and toys.

I must admit it is refreshing to see such a selection rather than your standard colouring pencil and a paper table matt.

It is clear some thought has gone into it.

The food itself ranges from tapas to burgers all of which is affordable. If you hope to get a 5* dining experience the Berretto Lounge isn’t for you…

However it’s not trying to be. It’s a place for easy going casual food and I must admit they do this well.

As the lounge is open until 12 midnight – It transforms into a cool bar later in the evening.

I hope to visit at night soon and write a little about the atmosphere, but as I haven’t as of yet I couldn’t possibly comment.

What I can say though is that my experience was enjoyable and I couldn’t fault it.

Apart from the fact they forgot my ciabatta but hey, we all make mistakes.
